The oldest clay-building in Finland (built in 1805) was renovated and turned into a youth hostel in 1990. The hostel is located in a charming, well-preserved industrial milieu of the 18th and 19th centuries. Open year round.

Hostel-style accommodation in the courtyard of Kantele School. Dorms with bunk beds, shared toilets. There is a bird-watching tower, camp fire and a short nature trail in the yard. Kantele lake is one of the most important bird watching places in southern Finland. Open as required, prebookings necessary.
